Temporary Closure of Smithsonian Branch
As of September 8, 2016, the Smithsonian Institution temporarily closed the Smithsonian Castle Building, the location of one of AgFed’s offices, due to renovations.
We want you to know that the necessary parties have been working diligently over the last few months to complete these renovations and we see the Smithsonian branch re-opening in the very near future.
An immediate update with specific dates will be provided to you as soon as possible.
Until then, a representative from the Credit Union will be on-site near the branch inside the Castle Building every Wednesday, beginning October 5, 2016, from 11am until 2pm to ensure that your financial needs are met. Members will be able to perform limited, non-cash transactions such as check deposits, initiate wire transfers, complete loan requests and other Credit Union services.
If you need immediate assistance or to complete a cash transaction, please visit our nearest branch located at:
USDA South Building - Sub Basement Branch
1400 Independence Ave SW, Room SM-2
Washington, DC 20250
Please Note: All visitors for the USDA location will be required to show proper ID and use the Wing 3 entrance located on Independence Ave.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience!
